Why give to the Arts and Administration Program?

A gift to the Arts and Administration Program assists in the preparation of future arts managers. By giving you are investing in the continuing health and well being of museums, community arts centers, performing arts centers and events/festivals locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. To provide the best educational experience possible we must make available to students a creative and challenging educational program that will enable them to think, communicate, and lead.

Why does a program in a public university need private gifts?

In the past decade, state support of public universities has declined dramatically. Today, the University of Oregon receives less than 15 percent of its funding from state revenue sources. Efficient management and outside research grants have helped. But increased private giving for student, program,and faculty support is the key to whether the university can maintain and enhance its high level of service into the next century.
