PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I returned to my home state and to the University of Oregon as Museum Studies Coordinator in 2002. Prior to my move to Eugene, I had taught public history at Washington State University since 1997. My background includes work in museums; museum associations; historic preservation; and U. S., public, women's, and architectural history. Before taking the position at WSU, I had taught at Eastern Washington University, Louisiana State University, Clayton State College, and Georgia State University. I had also held positions in historic preservation and in museum association administration in Spokane and Clark County, Washington, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

RESEARCH & TEACHING INTERESTS

My teaching focus here in the Arts & Administration program was on the Museum Studies area of concentration; duties included advising museum studies students and coordinating the Museum Studies Certificate course of study. I taught Cultural Administration, the History Museum, and Museum Education in the graduate major and the undergraduate course, Art and Gender.

My research agenda included work on architectural history, women's history, women and the home, and historic preservation.
