The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance offers arts administration as a supporting area of study for their D.M.A. and Ph.D. students.  Coursework is provided through the Arts and Administration Program, located in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts.  A total of 32 credits is formally required for the arts administration supporting area, but it is recommended that students consider taking additional courses in information technology and research methods, depending on their individual professional goals and research interests.  All requirements can be completed within two years, but most music doctoral students require at least three years of coursework to complete all candidacy requirements.
