Lori Hager

Professional Summary

Dr. Lori L. Hager is faculty in the Arts and Administration Program at the University of Oregon where she teaches and conducts research in the history and policies of community youth arts, arts learning, and community arts development in the United States. She was awarded an NEA Art Works grant, along with research collaborators Grady Hillman and Dr. Amanda Gardner, for the Prison Arts Resource Project. She co-founded and directs the eportfolio project, which focuses on the applications of new media and 21st century skills in the preparation of professional arts managers and educators. Other recent research activities focus on the impact of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) on the development of the cultural workforce in the United States. Prior to academia, Lori worked as a professional actor, teaching artist, and arts educator.
