"Picasso Study"

The assignment was to select a painting
from a set of prints and interpret it with colored paper. Lillian
chose a Picasso painting that had one breast partially exposed. She chose
to reveal both breasts, including the nipples. Some of the girls at her
table remarked on it and I defended it as being ìart.î The
girls did not pursue the issue. My principal would not allow me to
hang this one in the front gallery because of possible remarks from visitors.
